TYPE 5 elastomeric pads are designed to ensure even and controlled load distribution on the support, allowing horizontal movements and rotations to be transferred without placing additional stress on the support.
The pads protect the edges of reinforced concrete elements from chipping and compensate for unevenness and deviations from the horizontal plane in the foundation.

TYPE 5 elastomeric pads are made of 65 Sh A hardness unreinforced elastomer.
Depending on the dimensions of the pad, holes, and cutouts, the maximum allowable compressive stress in the pad can reach σR,d = 14 MPa.
The design concept is based on the shape factor principle, taking into account cutouts, holes, and the required distances from the edges of the support in accordance with LST EN 1992.
